This is a bone divination instrument from the Mambila people of Cameroon, West Africa. The handle is made of wood, the shaft is made of animal rib.  There is a leather sheath between the wood and the bone. The bone has fine engravings along the edge.  The patina is moderately developed.  In good condition,  Height approx 35cm.  This item could possibly been tribally used, but it is unclear.  Stand not included.
