This is an unusual ancestor mask from the Lega people of the Congo. Features a long handle, for holding it. The patina of the handle suggests handling. Rare to find this form.. In good condition, with some wear. , Height approx 45 cm. This mask might have been tribally used, but we are unsure. Stand not included.
